Noah is 7 months old
As I have not had many chances to sit at a computer this summer I had to make the choice to either post pictures of my trip or of my son - needless to say I like looking at pictures of Noah more than pictures of anything else. I can't tell if he changed much over the last month but he does have a few new tricks - he is almost crawling (more like an army crawl), he makes a fish face, he can sit in a high chair and he can give hugs when he is tired.

Noah is 6 months old
This part of the blog is dedicated to our beautiful baby boy who is now 6 and a half months old. He is a great little traveller and I only wish he would one day remember the many adventures that he has had (but because that is not possible I guess we will just have to keep on travelling).
Below are pictures with his cousin Nele who is now 3 months old, Noah with his great oma, and Noah giving kisses to Opa.

Europe 2008
As luck would have it I get to spend my summer this year in Europe. Although we are just going to Patrick's home it is still travelling to me. We had a brief stop in England and spent time with Irene and Dave who took us to London and Oxford. Now we are in the most eastern part of Germany spending time with Patrick's family and friends.
Bautzen is a city that is over a thousand years old, much of it has been restored but there are still some places that lay in ruins - which is very typical here in the eastern part of germany.

Sandy the Science Nerd

Well I've been travelling again, that is if you consider Fort McMurray a holiday. I have settled into my job here in Calgary and have begun my field season. My most recent trip was to Suncor to do a rare plant survey.

Each morning our pilot Rob would pick us up in his sexy helicopter and drop us off in remote locations, thinking to himself "you poor sorry bastards, have fun with the caterpillars". Our project manager wanted us to have guns to protect ourselves against bears, but we thought he was crazy. Later that day when we ran into a mom and cub maybe it was really us who was crazy.

We did find some rare plants, but mostly I found myself covered in black fly and mosquito bites, despite my attempts to create a safety bubble with my very attractive PPE.
